​​This magnificent restoration must be seen to be appreciated.  Built during Civil War times, the fort will delight all ages.  Six miles of trails offer a hiking and biking experience that will never disappoint.  The park offers both RV and primitive tent camping sites.

The walking trail is only about  a 1/2 mile loop, but facinating because names of  trees and shrubs are posted.  Designed as a family picnic area, the park includes a tot's playground, manatee viewing dock, fishing, a public boat ramp, and bathroom facilities.
