Enjoy Amelia Island’s natural environment. Open from sunrise to sundown, Egans Creek Greenway offers wide grassy trails meandering across 300 acres along scenic saltmarsh waterways.  For the more adventurous, there is a narrow winding trail through the tropical jungle.  If you are lucky, you may spy local wildlife such as various birds, alligators, bobcats and snakes.

Benches are conveniently located along the path. There are maps at crossroads to help a hiker stay on track. For safety, please stay on the trails and observe animals from a respectful distance.

Dogs on a leash are welcome.  To protect the waterways eco-systems, poopie bags are required for dogs. Fishing is permitted from bridges as long as lines are attended. There are no trash receptacles, so be sure to pack your garbage out of the Greenway.

Enter the north Greenway behind the Atlantic Recreation Center located at 2500 Atlantic Avenue on Amelia Island.  Enter the South Egans Creek Greenway from Jasmine Street or the raised boardwalk at the Sadler Road trailhead.
